Colossians 4:7-18 - The Whole Crew

The letter to the Colossians is closed with mentions of Paul's various co-workers in ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Colossians 4:2-6 - Prayer Closets and Public Streets

Here we find an exhortation from Paul to be mindful of how we are perceived by non-believers. He asserts that our speech should always be gracious and seasoned with salt. 

Colossians 3:22-4:1 - Worst Case Scenario

Paul continues with the obligations of the Christian home by using an often misunderstood relationship which is that of the bondservant and master. 

Colossians 3:18-21 - The Christian Home

In this part of the epistle, Paul describes the responsibilities of the Christian home regarding various relationships. 

Colossians 3:1-17 - You Ain't Got to Live That Way

Paul contrasts the lives of non-believers or the sons of disobedience with those who are born again. He explains that we should put off the old man and walk by the Spirit.

Colossians 2:16-23 - Doctrines of Men

Paul writes here that believers shouldn't condemn one another over what food they eat, what holidays they celebrate or the which day the Sabbath is celebrated. 

Colossians 2:1-15 - Handwriting of Requirements

Jesus fulfilled the obligations under the law and gives all believers justification and righteousness through faith in His crucifixion and resurrection. 

Colossians 1:19-29 - Grounded

These verses that Paul wrote are some of the strongest Christological verses. They explain who Jesus is in relation to the Father and why His sacrifice means for believers.

Colossians 1:9-18 - The Preeminence of Christ

These verses offer some excellent Christology. These verses talk about the divinity of Christ. Paul asserts that all things were created by Jesus and for Jesus in an attempt to refute questions of His equality with the Father.

Colossians Intro/1:1-8 - Love for the Saints

In this episode, I give the background of the city of Colossae and the context of Paul's letter to the Colossians. The content of this epistle is very similar to Ephesians. Paul's letter opens with verses about the divinity of Jesus in an effort to combat Gnostic influence.
