Luke 6:12-23 - The Beatitudes

Jesus delivers the Sermon on the Plain, some of the Bible's most famous verses. 

Luke 6:12-19 - Hey Judas

Jesus goes to a mountain and spends all night in prayer before he selects the apostles. Jesus chooses Judas despite his impending betrayal revealing that God does work all things out for the good. 

Luke 6:6-11 - Withered Hand

A man asks Jesus to heal his withered hand. Jesus tells the man to stretch out his hand. Jesus requires something of us. 

Luke 6:1-5 - Showbread

Jesus heals on the Sabbath and the Pharisees chastise Him. He reminds them of David and the showbread to illustrate God's expectations of us. 

Luke 5:33-39 - New Wine

Some Pharisees ask Jesus why his followers aren't fasting. He uses a parable of a wedding feast to demonstrate his answer. 

Luke 5:27-32 - The Tax Collector

Jesus meets Levi the Tax Collector. In the culture at that time, tax collectors were despised and brought shame to their families. Jesus shows his character by choosing him to be the Apostle Matthew. 

Luke 5:17-26 - No Plan B

Some friends lower a paralytic man down through the roof to Jesus for healing. Their commitment to the plan and trust in the power of Jesus show that they have no backup plan. 

Luke 5:12-16 - I Am Willing

A leper approaches Jesus in complete faith knowing that He has the power to heal him. He tells Jesus that if He is willing, he would be healed. Jesus answers, "I am willing."

Luke 5:1-11 - At Your Word

Jesus tells Peter to go out on the lake and cast his net out. Peter has been fishing all night and hasn't caught anything. It doesn't make sense to him but he chooses to follow Jesus.

Luke 4:38-44 - Back to Service

Jesus heals Peter's mother-in-law and Scripture says she immediately arose and served those who were present.
