Luke 9:43-50 - Like A Child

The apostles begin to argue about who is the greatest among them. Jesus sees this and takes a child and sets him near and uses him in an illustration. He says that whoever is least among them will be the greatest. 

Luke 9:37-45 - The Enemy's Perfect Timing

Jesus is about to heal a boy from a demonic spirit. As He approaches the boy, he starts to convulse. Spiritual warfare often happens right as we are about to experience a breakthrough. 

Luke 9:28-37 - The Transfiguration

Jesus went up to the mountain to pray. It was then that the transfiguration happened. Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep and they almost missed the display of His glory.

Luke 9:18-27 - No Half Measures

Jesus asks the apostles who they think He is. He follows this question up by telling them about his impending rejection and death. Jesus informs them that whoever wishes to follow him must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow him. 

Luke 9:10-17 - Full Bellies

Jesus feeds the five thousand with a handful of fish and barley loaves. I share other scriptures about Gods provision. Jesus always provides for our needs, especially spiritual ones. 

Luke 9:1-9 - Sent

Jesus commands the twelve apostles to go and spread the good news. First Jesus gives them authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. Jesus doesn't give you a mission without equipping you first. 

Luke 8:49-56 - Little Girl, Arise

Jesus is asked to heal the daughter of Jairus. Jesus tells him, "Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well." Fear and faith don't mix. 

Luke 8:40-48 - Blood Issue

A woman who has a medical condition that makes her unclean. She has suffered with this condition for 12 years and she has spent all of her money on physicians to no avail. She sneaks up on Jesus to touch the tassel of his outer garment, displaying her incredible faith. 

Luke 8:26-39 - Legion

A demon-possessed man goes to Jesus. Jesus asks him his name and he replies, "Legion." Jesus casts the demons into a herd of pigs who are driven off of a cliff into water. 

Luke 8:22-25 - Master of the Storm

Jesus and His disciples are crossing a lake in a boat. Jesus falls asleep and a storm comes. The disciples panic and wake him up. He asks them,, "Where is your faith?"
