Luke 22:63-71 - Sham Trials

Jesus is arrested and we know from the other synoptic gospels that he faced not but but two trials with the High Priests.

Luke 22:54-62 - Peter's Denial

Jesus is proved correct when Peter denies Jesus three times. There is a progression to Peter's denials that we can observe and take note of as believers.

Luke 22:47-53 - Off With Your Ear

Judas comes to the garden with a multitude to arrest Jesus. Judas betrays Jesus with a kiss and Peter cuts off the ear of one of the high priest's men.

Luke 22:39-46 - Questions in the Garden

Jesus goes to Gethsemane to pray and is distraught over what will take place shortly. He says, "Father, if it is Your Will, take this cup from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." 

Luke 22:31-38 - Things Have Changed

Jesus predicts Peter's betrayal and then follows with an exhortation for them to be prepared. 

Luke 22:24-30 - Who's the Greatest?

After telling the Apostles about a plot to betray Him and that he will be made to suffer many things, the Apostles begin to argue about which one of them is the greatest.

Luke 22:7-23 - Passover

Jesus celebrates the Passover with the apostles. The meaning of the Passover is redefined as Jesus changes things as a new covenant is imminent.
