Intro to Ephesians

Here I give some background information about Paul and the city of Ephesus.

Luke 24:50-53 - The Ascension

After reminding them of His prophecies, Jesus blessed them and disappeared into Heaven.

Luke 24:36-49 - He Breathed on Them

After Jesus appears among the apostles and the gospel of John says this night He breathed on them to bless them with the Holy Spirit for the first time. 

Luke 24:13-35 - The Road to Emmaus

Two of the disciples of Jesus are walking on the road to Emmaus when Jesus suddenly appears among them. They don't don't realize it's Him until they have communion with Him.

Luke 23:50-42:12 - The Resurrection

Joseph of Arimathea provides Jesus a tomb but only for a few days. A group of women visit the tomb and discover that the stone entryway has been moved and the burial linen strewn about haphazardly.  

Luke 23:44-49 - The Death of Jesus

There is an unnatural darkness for hours and the veil of the temple separating the Holy of Holies is torn as Jesus dies on the cross.

Luke 23:39-43 - Thief on a Cross

The thief on the cross next to Jesus is granted salvation due to his demonstration of faith. What are the theological implications?

Luke 23:26-38 - King on a Cross

Jesus is crucified on a cross and He leaves us with a beautiful example of selfless love. I discuss the mind of Christ from Philippians 2.

Luke 23:13-25 - The Release of a Rebel

The crowd is given the option of releasing Jesus or Barabbas, a known rebel and murderer. 

Luke 23:1-12 - Knowing Better

Jesus is brought before both Pontius Pilate and Herod who both feel convicted about His innocence. Despite their apprehensions, they would rather please the crowd.
